DML Presents Ghostly Adult Programs

Dayton Metro Library will host a variety of adult-oriented ghostly programs in October that cover everything from research tools, ghost hunters, walking tours, and haunted places right here in Ohio.

I think My House is Haunted: Historic Property Research Basics
Southeast Branch Library, Saturday, October 8, 1 - 2 pm
This program is for patrons who live in historic homes and have an interest in learning the basic steps of researching by using a variety of local, state, and national resources in print and online, including free Library resources. (Advanced registration is required.)

Ghost Hunting with the Dayton Ghost Hunters Society
Wilmington-Stroop Branch Library, Saturday, October 8, 2 - 3 pm
The Society will be on hand to share how they investigate locations, debunk claims, and evaluate evidence, even involving some local areas around here. Teens and Tweens are also welcome to attend this program.

Ghost Walking Tour in Historic Miamisburg
Miamisburg Branch Library, Saturday, October 22 and October 29, 3 - 4:30 pm
Join ghost tellers with a walk that begins at the Branch and travels around the Carnegie Library, with a venture into Veteran Memorial Park, which used to be a cemetery. (Advanced registration is required for both sessions.)

Ohio’s Historic Haunts: Investigating the Paranormal in the Buckeye State
New Lebanon Branch Library, Tuesday, October 25, 6:30 - 7:30 pm
James A. Willis visits the Branch to deliver a presentation that will discuss the connection between history and ghost stories. He will also share information on what happened when he spent the night (alone at times) inside more than 20 historic buildings in Ohio.
