From October 7 - 21, 2024, patrons will be able to view an exclusive video (for a limited time) of New York Times bestselling author and MacArthur Fellow Jason Reynolds, opens a new window from his visit to Dayton Metro Library back on April 24 of this year as part of the Library’s Executive Director’s Author Series.

Reynolds had stopped by to discuss marginalized communities, children’s literacy, how he blended those real-world topics with children’s literature, and what role public libraries play in making an impact on the lives of young readers – to a completely full Eichelberger Forum.

Reynolds, a writer of children’s and young adult works, is known for his popular children’s titles like Stamped, Stunt Boy, and Miles Morales, as well as a track-themed series, where the first book, Ghost, was a National Book Award Finalist for Young People’s Literature.
