Displaying and Distributing Materials

As a service to the public, the library allows materials from community organizations to be posted on library bulletin boards and/or left at the library for distribution. Library handouts receive priority in the limited space provided for these types of materials.

The following will not be accepted:

    • campaign literature for a political candidate

    • materials exclusively promoting commercial products or services

    • posters larger than 18 x 24 inches

Items for public distribution and/or posting should be taken to the Community Relations office at the Main Library during regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or left at the Information Desk or drive-up window. The Community Relations staff will post materials at the Main Library. Distribution to each branch library is the responsibility of the sponsoring organization. If you have questions about distribution, contact Community Relations. You must include a name, phone number and address of a contact person for the organization in case we have any questions.

No organization may advertise that its materials are available at the library unless this has been cleared with Community Relations in advance.

The library will designate space for display of these materials at each location and reserves the right to limit quantities. Display and distribution will depend on space available and each branch library has the final say on use of material supplied, based on its own space limitations.

The library reserves the right to post and take down information according to the library's own schedule.

For more information, contact the Community Relations office at 937-227-9541.
