Another wonderful, free resource available from your Dayton Metro Library is Lynda.com. Armed with your library card and pin number you can access professional development classes that benefit your career as well as your hobby development. Classes are delivered to tablets, computers and other devices that can be accessed 24/7 at your convenience. Topics cover a vast range of subjects and one can become certified in specific career goals such as Becoming a Manager or Become a Web Designer. Conversely one can study the single topic “Developing a Strategic Plan.” You can work at your own pace and go back and refresh your memory if there is a lengthy break in your study plan. Certificates of Completion are available for most coursework and can be incorporated into the student’s LinkedIn profile.
This is just another way that your library card and pin can unlock a world of personal and professional development available at your Dayton Metro Library.
