Starting Tuesday, July 7, all Dayton Metro Library locations will reopen for new, limited hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
Library services, including public computers, printers, copiers, and collections will be available. However, meeting and tutor rooms remain closed. No in-person programming (including classes and storytimes) is taking place, and outside groups are not permitted to use or reserve Library meeting space at this time.
Health and Safety protocols being implemented include:
Curbside Service will continue during these hours for those who prefer to request materials in advance and schedule a time for pickup. Returned materials will continue to be quarantined for 72 hours before they are available for borrowing. Gaming systems and toys/games/art supplies for children are not available for use at this time.
A full list of services and safety protocols is available at DaytonMetroLibrary.org/reopening.
“Our plans remain flexible and subject to change as we reinstitute library services,” said Tim Kambitsch, DML Executive Director. “As much as we try to anticipate all scenarios, we know that the situation is constantly evolving. Library leadership will continue to monitor trends, while our staff and visitors will play an important role in ensuring and adjusting safety protocols, as necessary.”
