The Friends of the Dayton Metro Library have been filling up the old Trotwood Branch Library with used books, furniture, office equipment, and various odds and ends from across the Library system – in preparation for their biggest sale in years.
The Friends of the Library Spring Sale will be Friday, April 3, 3:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 5, 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the former Trotwood Library building at 651 E Main Street, 45426. Admission is free, and all sale proceeds benefit the Friends of the Dayton Metro Library.
“Because the building is unoccupied, we’re able to have more books, DVDs and CDs available at this sale than we had at all of our small Branch sales in 2019 combined,” said Judy Day, chair of the Friends Book Sale Committee. “We also have tables, desks, chairs, shelving and all kinds of odds and ends from across the Library system available for purchase.”
Books are $1 each, with mass market paperbacks and all AV items buy one, get one free. Furniture and other items are individually priced.
Sale hours were extended to Sunday 1:00-3:00 p.m. to accommodate more shoppers who are interested in the variety of items available.
Friends of the Library members can gain early entry to the sale on Friday, April 3, starting at 1:00 p.m. New members are welcome to join in advance online, or at the door.
