Teens Invited to Enter Dayton Metro Library's First Teen Art Contest

Artistic teens are invited to enter the Dayton Metro Library’s first annual Teen Art Contest. Entries in any media will be accepted at all Dayton Metro Library locations, September 1 - 21. Entry form and details are available at DaytonMetroLibrary.org/Teens

Eligible teens must be in grades 7-12 and live or go to school in Montgomery County. While the contest theme is “Our World,” artwork can be any interpretation of the theme, in any media.

Judges will select the winners based on:

  • Impact
  • Creativity
  • Style
  • Subject Matter (fitting the theme “Our World”)
  • Storytelling (title of the artwork)

Amazon Gift Card Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in grades 7 - 9 and in grades 10 - 12. One “Best In Show” Winner will also be announced at an awards event open to the public on Tuesday, October 1, 6:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Branch Library.
