The Dayton Metro Library invites community members to have Coffee With a Cop and talk about their questions or concerns in a friendly, casual atmosphere at the Burkhardt Branch Library, 4680 Burkhardt Avenue, on Thursday, August 15, 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Coffee With a Cop is a Dayton Police Department program modeled after a national initiative designed to encourage one-on-one conversation and small group interaction between the police and members of the community they serve.
“We encourage folks to come with questions, concerns, ideas, or just get to know the men and women who patrol their streets every day,” said Heather McClure, Dayton Metro Library Security Manager. “This is also an opportunity to show gratitude to our first responders who serve this community, under what we have seen can be extraordinarily difficult circumstances.”
The drop-by event is free and open to the public.
