TED TALKS @ LUNCH: Diversity in the Workplace

Brown Bag Lunch Program at Dayton Metro Library

Dayton Metro Library’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee hosts a thought-provoking brown bag lunch program on Wednesday, November 14, noon-1:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Eichelberger Forum, 215 E. Third Street. TED Talks @ Lunch features a screening of three short TED Talks videos, followed by discussion about Diversity in the Workplace. The free program is open to the public.

The TED Talk videos to be screened are:

  • “What It’s Like to Be the Child of Immigrants” (8 minutes)
  • “What Baby Boomers Can Learn From Millennials at Work and Vice Versa” (12 minutes)
  • “How To Get Serious About Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace” (11 minutes)

Following the films, members of the Library’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee will lead a brief discussion.

“Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee is dedicated to sharing varied perspectives and creating an inclusive, welcoming environment,” said Julie Buchanan, Programming Manager for the Library. “With this brown bag lunch program, we hope to spread communication and dialogue both within and beyond the Library.”
