Free Live Concerts at the Main Library this September

Enjoy live music at the Dayton Metro Library! The Main Library, 215 E. Third Street in downtown Dayton, has a wide variety of musical performances scheduled this fall, from classic jazz to a Japanese choir, and all of them are free and open to the public.

The Second Sunday Music Series focuses on world music, with informal performances from 2:00 to 3:30 the second Sunday of each month. September’s concert is the Japanese choral group Harmony of Japan. This all-women group performs popular and traditional Japanese songs.

On Stage @ The Eichelberger Forum returns with free lunchtime concerts on select Fridays. Jazz vocalist Duante Beddingfield kicks off the series in September, collaborating with the Randy Villars Trio.

“For those who work downtown, a casual concert can be a great mid-day escape,” said Julie Buchanan, Library Programming Manager. “These free concerts welcome people into the Eichelberger Forum, where they can bring their lunch and a friend, grab a seat, and enjoy some great music before returning to work.”
