Job seekers and career explorers are invited to learn about professions that interest them, directly from local residents who work in those fields. On the Job: Career Conversations is an opportunity for small-group discussion about what it takes to work in the fields of Banking, Veterinary Medicine, Funeral Services, and Computer Aided Design. The program takes place at the Miamisburg Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, 545 E. Linden Avenue, on Thursday, September 6, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Another session, with representatives from different careers, is scheduled for Monday, October 29, 6:00 p.m. at the Main Library in Dayton.
“These discussions are great for both teens and adults who are exploring career options or considering career transition,” said Julie Buchanan, Library Programming Manager. “Who better to describe a work environment, and the path they took to get there, than someone who works in that profession?”
Guests at the Miamisburg Branch Library on September 6 are:
The October 29 session at the Main Library will feature a professional photographer, electrician, and pharmacist. Both sessions are free and open to the public; registration is not required.
