Branch Manager, Mark Roma

Mr. Roma has been with Dayton Metro Library since 2009. Before becoming Branch Manager at the Belmont Branch, he served as Branch Manager at the Northtown-Shiloh Branch. Mark is a fan of mysteries and sci-fi/fantasy. One of his favorite fantasy series is Discworld, by Terry Pratchett.

Staff - Branch Highlight

The Belmont Branch has a dedicated staff of 11 full and part-time individuals whose work and passion for libraries shines through in all that they do. The team at the Belmont Branch is determined to consistently provide the best customer experience possible.

Community Connection

The Belmont Branch serves the community in many ways. Young children benefit from the outreach of the Children's Librarian offering book talks and read alouds at Greenmont Elementary, Eastmont Elementary, Rainbow Years, Headstart at Immaculate Conception, Horace Mann Elementary and other preschools and daycares. Adults benefit from Take It & Read locations throughout the neighborhood. As a partner for the development of the community, Belmont Branch serves as a donation location for Toys for Tots and the Foodbank.

Construction of a 24,000 square foot branch next to Belmont High School is well underway. Meeting rooms and the Opportunity Space will be configured in a conference center-style. Completion is slated for Summer 2019. Click here to see renderings and a floor plan.
