It can be a challenge for parents to prepare healthy, nutritious meals on a budget, and busy schedules make dining together as a family difficult. “Nutrition Education for Parents,” a free series of classes at the Dayton Metro Library’s Belmont Branch, offers cost-saving tips, easy meal preparation and nutrition information for parents.
The classes, led by Ciomara Martin from the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program of the OSU Extension, take place on Mondays, March 7-April 18, 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Belmont Branch Library, located at 1041 Watervliet Avenue in Dayton. Each class includes a healthy food demonstration and free tools participants can take home.
While the classes are free, space is limited and advance registration is required by calling (937) 463-BOOK or registering on the Events calendar.
