Science for preschoolers involves investigations of things they can observe, manipulate and experiment with in the here-and-now. They enjoy creating and observing chemical reactions, building things, setting things in motion and observing live animals. Informational texts are good supplements to hands-on investigations but do not serve as replacements to experiences.
