Learning to Talk

Babies learn aspects of language at different times. At first they are particularly attuned to melody and rhythm. A little later, they are sensitive to the individual speech sounds in language on top of melody and rhythm. So even when your baby doesn’t understand the meaning of your words, he or she is learning important skills for language development.
