At one time there were many mansions in downtown Dayton.  Through vintage photographs we'll revisit an era long gone.  Homes include:  Julia Shaw Patterson Carnell's home (built the Dayton Art Institute); Valentine Winter's home (founded Winter's Bank); Clement Vallandigham's home (arch foe of Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War), John Patterson's home on First Street (NCR fame); Daniel Mead's home on First Street (founded Mead Paper Co.), Mrs. Leslie Carter's home (famous actress), Dr. Walter's home (first brick home with a stone front), etc.  Discover the history of these famous people and their legacy to Dayton.
