Date: Aug 26, 2013  Time: 06:30 pm - 08:00 pm
About this Event:

The program presenter is the founder of Friends to Save the Arcade, a group started in 2007 to bring public attention to the plight of the five buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Arcade was constructed in 1902 by E. J. Barney, President, Barney & Smith Car Company.  Join us for this one-hour photographic tour of the Arcade including stories from interviews of people who lived, shopped and worked in the Arcade.  Learn details of Arcade redevelopment including the centerpiece gem, the glass-domed rotunda, and possible condos, businesses, offices, hotel, etc.  Information on the new Arcade book will be available.  Come relive the Arcade's past and preview the future of the Grande Dame on Third Street.
