New! More Digital Magazines for You

overdrivemagsOverdrive is expanding! The service you've enjoyed for downloading eBooks and eAudio books now offers magazines as well. More than 100 magazines titles are available for downloading through Overdrive. While the collection features popular magazines such as The New Yorker and Better Homes and Gardens, readers will find an emphasis on business periodicals including Small Business Opportunities, Home Business Magazine, Entrepreneur and Inc.

"This service is unique in that this product is designed for the mobile device user," said Jean Gaffney, Manager of Collection Development. "Overdrive magazines work with tablets, phones, and Windows 8," she said.

There are some similarities between the Overdrive magazine service and Zinio, which also offers downloadable magazines. A few magazines will be available in both Overdrive and Zinio, but most titles are unique to one service or the other. With Overdrive, up to three magazines can be checked out for one week, and downloaded magazines will remain on a user's device until they are deleted. The service is free and there are no overdue fines. Call Business Specialist Ann Riegle-Crichton at 937-496-8631 with questions.
